This is the original church in Flaunden and dated back to 1235, situated down by the River Chess. Due to flooding and neglect, it was abandoned and replaced by the current building which was built in 1837/8 and designed by the eminent architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, an early work of his.
The Doggett family lived 2 doors down from Hillmead Farm, whose historic late 15C farmhouse still exists and is a Grade II listed building
Although Hannah is on 2 different census forms of 2 different places, it seems that she paid a visit to Botley to see her daughter Mary Channer. Meanwhile who ever filled out the census in Penmans Green decided to include her there in cas eshe doesn't get counted in Botley.
