Birth & Death: Born April 21, 1610, in Vitré, Brittany, France; died August 28, 1687, in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Spouse: Marguerite (also recorded as Magdeleine) de la Primaudaye, born around 1608. Children: He and Marguerite had several children. Their most notable son was Captain Daniel Collot d'Escury (1643–1714), who went to England with William III, fought at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690 (where he lost an arm), and eventually died as a Major in Dublin. Legacy: The family's military service under the Dutch and English crowns earned them a recognized title in the Dutch nobility in the early 19th century.
