Althea Kate Freeland was born at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, where she was christened on 14 May 1891. She married James Robinson at Asansol, Bengal on 15 Nov 1916. On 18 May 1959, she arrived on the P&O ship Strathnaver in London from Sydney, having docked at Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle, Singapore, Colombo, Bombay, Aden and Port Said. She was 68 when she disembarked in the UK capital. Interestingly, Althea claims to be single on the incoming passenger list, though she is in fact a widow At this time it may be that James Robinson had died. Althea died in Northampton in 1971
